Proposing Ten Information Infrastructure Projects to Financial Secretary
This afternoon, together with other representatives from The Professional Commons, I presented to the Financial Secretary the Ten Information Infrastructure Projects proposal, and suggestions in other policy areas. We hope that these ideas will be adopted in the Government Budget for the coming year, to create jobs for the ICT sector, inject new energy into Hong Kong's economy, as well as improve the quality of life of all citizens.The following is the list of organizations in support of the Ten Information Infrastructure Projects:-

I strongly agree with proposal 8, and recommend going further and creating a government-supported common criteria evaluation laboratory in HK, integrated into the Mutual Recognition Agreement. That will stimulate innovation in security technologies in Hong Kong, because they will be able to earn internationally-recognised certifications such as EAL4.
